Cook and Connect
Last term we launched our brand new Cook and Connect programme at Suffolks Primary School. Cook and Connect is a unique programme by Success Club that brings young people together with their parents to learn essential cooking skills while fostering connections with their children and promoting wellbeing. Through fun, hands-on sessions, participants explore healthy eating, teamwork and mindfulness, creating meals and meaningful memories. By blending practical skills with personal development, Cook and Connect helps young people build confidence and stronger relationships, all while supporting their overall growth and wellbeing.

Chace Community School Wellbeing Day
The Chace Wellbeing Day was a vibrant event designed to support Year 7 students’ mental wellbeing and help them settle into school. The day began with a welcome and some mindfulness and stretching sessions, followed by small-group discussions on the school values and students’ experiences so far. After lunch, students were engaged in a range of bespoke Success Club activities to suit all interests and needs ranging from a STOMP workshop to dance, boxercise, and multi-sports. There were also some calmer sessions involving crafts and crochet for those who needed a quieter space to reflect which were an absolute hit with pupils and staff alike.

Moment of Calm 2025
Last year, A Moment of Calm was a huge success, helping year 6 children across Enfield develop mindfulness skills that supported their wellbeing and focus as well as preparing them for their SAT’s. The positive impact was clear, with students feeling calmer and more equipped to manage their emotions. This term, we’re excited to expand the programme, reaching even more children in more schools across the borough. Trauma and Anxiety
This term, we’ve launched three new support groups for teenagers aimed at tackling disengagement from education caused by anxiety disorders. These groups provide a safe and supportive environment where students can build confidence, develop coping strategies and re-engage with their learning. By addressing the root causes of trauma and/or anxiety, we’re helping young people take positive steps towards their educational and personal goals.

Mindful Moment
Take a mindful moment this January to pause, breathe deeply and set a positive intention for the year ahead. Allow yourself to let go of the holiday rush and focus on the present, noticing how you feel in the moment. Take this time to appreciate the stillness, letting your mind settle and your body relax. Even a few minutes of stillness can help you feel calmer, more focused and ready to embrace new opportunities with clarity and purpose. Start the year by prioritising your wellbeing and creating space for a peaceful, balanced mindset.
